Join WXRT this Saturday for the Official St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Dyeing of the Chicago River! In 1956, the Chicago River magically turned a beautiful emerald green for the very first time. This uniquely Chicago tradition was created by The Chicago Journeyman Plumbers Local 130, proudly bringing you the Official Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and dying the river green for over 54 years.
